Learn to Plan

SMTD is a planning tool for people who struggle with traditional planning tools like Todoist or Calendar or Tasks. It minimizes the overhead of dealing with incomplete tasks

How SMTD Works

SMTD focuses on creating a new to-do list every day just for that day. It never transfers the incomplete tasks to the next day thus eliminating the burden of replanning.

  • 1

Every morning, start from a blank list, putting down your tasks for today.

    Today

What is your first task for today?
  • 2

Complete the tasks as your day progresses. Don't worry about yesterday's or “someday” tasks.

    Today's Tasks

  • 3

Check your progress at the end of the day: even if just 10% of tasks are completed, it's still better than 0%.

    50% complete

Don't feel the pressure of completing all the tasks you put in for today. Just do your best and conclude when the day is over.

Your planning skill might be not ideal yet, so you have planned wrong, and it is completely okay to not finish everything.

If you keep using the app, your planning skill will be getting better, and your daily success rate will grow. This will mean not just doing more, but also planning less.
